Frosthaven icons and symbols

Updated

Board game: there are six elements: Fire, Ice, Air, Earth, Light and Dark. Wild and mixed symbols describe element choices or combinations; they are not extra elements.

Symbol meanings by rules category

Use the printed legend to match the artwork to these names. A crossed-out element is consumption, not removal of a permanent element from the game. You cannot consume an element you only infuse at the end of the same turn.

Push and Pull are forced-movement abilities; Pierce is an attack effect. None is a condition. Bless and Curse add temporary cards to the remaining modifier deck; a Curse card already in the deck is not an ongoing negative condition.

Questions

What does the shield icon mean?

Shield reduces incoming attack damage by its value after attack modification and before Ward/Brittle. Pierce can ignore Shield for its attack. Direct damage that is not an attack is not reduced by Shield.

How many elements are there?

Six: Fire, Ice, Air, Earth, Light and Dark. Wild stands for any one of them, not all six; combination notation is not another element.
